No. The mini drill press has been designed to work near the area where your current flex shaft motor hangs. It's size makes it easy to fit in with all your other tasks on your workbench. Remember, you can clip the drill press on and off as is needed.
Q: What table top size does the c-clamp fit?
The thickness of the table top can be up to 33 mm (1.30 inches) for the C-clamp to fit.

Q: Will my handpiece fit in the mini drill press?
Handpieces ranging from 12mm to 26mm ( 0.47 to 1.02 inches) diameter will fit the Drill-Str8. If you have any doubt send us a picture and measurements of your handpiece.
Q: Can I change drill bits easy when the handpiece is clamped in the mini drill press?
Yes! Very easily. The quick release or chuck key is placed in the upward position to give you access between the two rods of the handpiece clamp.

The Drill-Str8 is designed to work with your handpiece which fits 2.3 mm drill bits that are standard in the jewelry trade.
